Placemaking for Positive Youth Development

Placemaking is the process of people coming together to discover and express the unique and desired characteristics of their community setting.  In other words, it’s bringing people together to make their community special.

Sharon is developing a program that will train high school students in characteristics of thriving communities, then send them out to find assets communities can build on.  It is a true youth-adult partnership that gives youth the opportunity to engage with local leaders in a positive way and make a lasting impact.  Contact her for more information at (715) 479-3749.  To see an example, go to: https://iron.extension.wisc.edu/4h/youth-engagement/
